The Seminole County Landfill

Accepts Tires, Metal & Household Goods, Paint, Thinner, Used Oil, Batteries, & Gasoline

Please Check with the Attendant at the Entrance for where to dump these items.

There is also a MULCH Pile for Garden Clippings, Trees yard waste, etc.

~Free Mulch for County Residents -You Haul!

All Items must be within 6 ft of the curbside by 6:00am

Recycling! The following is accepted in the Curbside recycling containers

Unlimited quantities allowed!

  • Newspaper, supplements magazines & catalogs
  • Plastic Bottles #1-7 (on bottom of container)
  • Glass Bottles & Jars -remove all lids! (clear, green & brown) PLEASE: No drinking glasses, window glass, crystal, light bulbs, cookware, decorative containers or mirrors
  • Aluminum Cans (No foil, pie tins, pans etc)
  • Steel cans & tin household containers, such as food cans. (please empty & rinse- no need to remove labels) Empty aerosol cans are accepted with nozzles removed.

The Following are NOT ACCEPTED for Curbside Pickup

 

  • Paper or plastic store bags
  • Motor Oil or Pesticide containers
  • Light bulbs or drink ware
  • Aluminum foil or pie plates
  • Paint or Pesticide cans
  • Plastic tubs (ie butter or margarine tubs)
  • Egg cartons & Styrofoam trays
  • Cereal, soda, beer or tissue boxes

  • Furniture
  • Law equipment & push mowers (with fluids removed)
  • Furnaces
  • Bicycles
  • Material from minor household repairs & Minor remodeling (in an amount of no more than 3 standard garbage bags or less)

The following are NOT Collected:

  • Motorized Vehicles & Motors for Vehicles are NOT Collected!
  • Household Hazardous Waste is NOT Collected!
  • E-Scrap (computers & electronics) are NOT Collected PLEASE RECYCLE at the Hazardous Waste area at the landfill

Providing  FREE  & Easy method for residents to dispose of hypodermic needles & lancets. Residents can pick up a new container at any of the following locations:
